You will be picked up from Cochin Airport or Ernakulam train station and driven to Munnar, which takes about 4 hours. On the way, you'll see some waterfalls and beautiful natural views. After breakfast, explore the nearby attractions for the day. Munnar is located where three mountain streams meet: Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundale. It is 1600 meters above sea level. This beautiful hill station used to be the summer getaway for the British government in South India. In Munnar, you can visit Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo Point. In the afternoon, go to Rajamalai to see the rare mountain goats called "Nilgiri Thars. " An overnight stay is planned in Munnar.
After breakfast, leave the hotel and drive to Thekkady (4 hours). When you arrive and check in to your hotel. Start the sightseeing tour of Thekkady, one of the most interesting wildlife reserves in the world. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady covers an area of 777 square kilometers, with 360 square kilometers of dense green forest. Famous for its landforms, variety of animals, and beautiful views, the sanctuary became a Tiger Reserve in 1978. You can choose to do extra activities like boating at Periyar Lake, visiting a spice plantation, and riding an elephant, but they will cost more money. A place to sleep has been booked in Thekkady for the night.
This is a charming town next to the Arabian Sea on the west side and has many lakes, lagoons, and rivers running through it. Alleppey is a popular place for tourists, especially from other countries, and many people visit every year. It's well-known for its boat races, beaches, fish products, and coir (coconut fiber) business. One of the top spots to visit is Alleppey Beach, which is located in Alleppey Town and is very busy with visitors, right after the backwaters. Fly a kite, ride a camel, see the sunset from the 60-year-old Alappuzha Lighthouse, eat some street food, or relax and enjoy the breeze. The Revi Karunkaran Memorial Museum is well-known for its displays of European items, Swarvoski crystals, and ivory. The entry fee is Rs. 100, and it's open from 9 AM to 5 PM. The museum is closed on Mondays. Alleppey is known for its local market on Mullackal Street, where you can find many shops and stalls selling things like jewelry and spices at lower prices if you are good at negotiating. More booths are set up for the yearly festival at the Sree Rajarajeshwari Temple in the market area. Many different handmade items are made from coconuts, and you can see all the creative ways people use coconuts at the International Coir Museum. The museum is open from 9 in the morning to 5 in the evening and is closed on Mondays. The entrance fee is about Rs. 20 If you have time, Pathiramanal Island is a great place to visit in Alleppey. The island in the lake has beautiful thick green plants and is a great spot for watching birds. It's difficult to get there, so it's not a good place for people who just want to visit for the day.
